• Full time position is 22.5-37.5-hours per week and part time position is 15-19.5 hours.

• The Library’s Hours of Operation range from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Applicants must be able to work one Saturday per month.

 Qualifications Required:

• Possess a High School diploma.Preference given to college course work.

• Have strong communication skills with the ability to speak, read and write proper English.

• Have a working knowledge of computers and be familiar with Microsoft Word, the Internet, and other software.

• Ability to become familiar with software applicable to the Library.

• Trainable in all applicable phases of library work.

• Physically able to lift 20 pounds or more.

• Demonstrate ability to work with public and staff.

 Applications are available at each branch of South Mississippi Regional Library—Columbia, Bassfield and Prentiss, and the WIN Job Center.  Preference will be given to Marion County residents.

• Salary Range: $7.25 -9.00 per hour depending on education and experience.
