Patron Policy

Patron Rules of Conduct

  • No Alcohol or illegal drugs will be permitted on Library property.

  • No tobacco products may be used within 20 feet of Library entrances.

  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a caregiver at least 16 years of age.

  • ​Patrons must exhibit appropriate attire and appearance: no bare feet or chests, no exposed garments, swimsuit or sleepwear, and no offensive body odor.

  • No abusive or threatening language or actions will be tolerated.

  • Patrons are asked to not perform such personal acts as bathing and washing

  • of clothing in the restrooms.

  • Patrons should never intentionally damage library materials or equipment.

  • Patrons should never remove Library materials from the premises without first checking them out.

Patrons using the Library’s computer equipment must comply with the

Violation of any Library Patron Rules of conduct

can result in consequences ranging from a warning

up to suspension of library services.

Unattended Child Policy

 

Children Ages

12 and Under

CANNOT

Be left unattended in the Library.

 

This means: Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or caregiver age 16 or older at all times and in all areas of the Library and its property except when participating in a Library sponsored program. In the event that a child aged 12 or below is left at the Library unattended as stated above and no one can be contacted to pick up the child, the staff will call the Police Department  and/or Sheriffs Office for assistance.
